School Administration

My name is Victoria Clark and I am very honored to be chosen as the leader of the East Arcadia Panther family.  I am honored to have been selected to join the East Arcadia Community which is known far and wide for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to children.  Over the past 23 years I have worked as a teacher and administrator, but I consider my most important job to be promoting the success of all students

An Old African proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child;” therefore I am looking forward to the work we will do together as well.  I am looking forward to sharing the great things your child will do at East Arcadia School.

My goal is to ensure that every child is safe and happy so that they may learn, be successful in school and have a positive experience and attitude about school.  This has been my guiding mission since I began my teaching career with Bladen County Schools.  I am a product of Bladen County Schools having attended Elizabethtown Primary School, Elizabethtown Junior High School, and East Bladen High School (when we were orange and black and known as the East Bladen Cougars).  I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1989) and later graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Master of School Administration (2012).

I worked at Plainview Primary School where I taught K-4 Exceptional Children for 3 years.  I moved to New Jersey and taught 3rd and 4th grade regular education for 3 years and Exceptional Children grades K-4 for 3 years.   Upon my return to Bladen County I continued teaching Exceptional Children for 7 years at Elizabethtown Primary School.  When I earned a Master of School Administration I began my administrative career at Tar Heel Middle School as an Assistant Principal Intern.  I have been an Assistant Principal for 5 years working in both Middle and High School.  But my greatest achievement comes not professionally, but personally, as I am the mother of two beautiful children (adult children but my children no matter the age):  Gabrielle (23) and Derwood, Jr.  (19).   A guiding principle I have always put at the forefront of teaching is always treat children the way I want others to treat my own.  With that guiding principle at the forefront of all I do and say please know that I will work tirelessly to ensure all of your children have the best possible experience while at East Arcadia School.
